bad
to the
bone.

BigBad isn't a little WordPress shop. We're guerrilla marketers dressed in a fishbone suit — the foundation under creative custom dev, magnificent marketing, and shit that's actually bad to the bone. WordPress plugins. Webapps. AI features. Brand systems. Heists nobody else will take on. We aren't limited to anything except boring.

what we do

we make weird useful shit. across the whole stack.

← swipe →
01

WordPress + WooCommerce

Free plugins, pro upgrades, plugin licensing infrastructure, custom Woo extensions, headless storefronts. Our license server runs hundreds of installs and never blinks.

02

Custom Web Apps

React + Vite + Supabase webapps for problems off-the-shelf SaaS doesn't solve. Real auth, real Stripe wiring, real Edge Functions. We ship the whole stack.

03

AI Integration

Claude, OpenAI, Gemini wired into product flows that actually use them — sellability scoring, lead correlation, content cleanup. We use AI for execution; humans design the plan.

04

Guerrilla Marketing

Brand systems, copy that doesn't sound AI-written, landing pages that convert, weird campaigns that get talked about. Marketing that's actually marketing, not corporate sleepwalking.

05

Managed Sites

WordPress, Astro, custom CMS — we maintain client sites end-to-end. Plugin updates, performance, SEO, backups, "why is this broken at 3am" calls.

06

Heists

Weird one-off projects. Build a Discord bot. Reverse-engineer an API. Scrape and structure a dataset nobody else has. If it can be built, we'll build it.

who we cater to

if you're allergic to corporate sleepwalking, we built this for you.

BigBad clients run real businesses with specific problems. We pick verticals where off-the-shelf software is a bad fit and partner with the people building inside them. Here's who lives on our roster:

FOR · WOO STORES

Independent shop owners

WooCommerce stores doing $10k–$500k/month. You don't need an enterprise agency. You need someone who answers the phone.

FOR · CANNABIS

Dispensaries + cannabis retail

Strain catalogs from AllBud, COA integration, age-gates that don't look like 2014. We get the vertical.

FOR · F&B

Restaurants + delivery

Order cutoff enforcement, holiday hour overrides, prep-buffer logic. The stuff your POS pretends doesn't matter.

FOR · AI

AI-flavored startups

You have a Claude prompt and an idea. We have product engineering and 5 years of shipping. Together we make it real.

FOR · WHITE-LABEL

Agencies + freelancers

White-label custom work. Plugin development. WordPress audit + rescue. We're the team behind the team.

FOR · CONTENT

Creators + collectors

Photo stock pipelines, trading card content brands, niche community sites. Audiences that aren't in the marketing playbooks.

FOR · B2B

B2B sales teams

Lead intelligence, CRM integrations, correlation scoring, outbound automation. Stop wasting reps on cold lists.

FOR · EVERYONE ELSE

Anyone with weird stack

You have a problem off-the-shelf software refuses to solve. That's our home turf.

how we operate

six rules. zero exceptions.

01

Bad to the bone

Every project ships with edge. Boring is the failure mode — we'd rather be polarizing than forgotten.

02

Foundation first

A human designs the plan and the architecture. AI executes faster, but never leads.

03

Ship every week

Real versions, real changelogs. No quarterly roadmaps with 47 items and 2 finishers.

04

Customers are humans

Email gets answered within 24 hours by a person, not a bot. Always.

05

Pro means more, not less-crippled

Free plugins solve the core problem fully. Pro adds specialty value, not unlocks we artificially locked.

06

Build weird

If it's not slightly unhinged, we're not interested. Generic SaaS is somebody else's game.

origin story

started 2020. still shipping every week.

BigBad started as a freelance WordPress shop. We were good at plugins, so we kept making them. Customers asked for custom work, so we built that out. Customers asked for brand systems and marketing, so we hired for it. Then we hit on AI-powered webapps and the whole thing snowballed.

Today we're a small team running multiple product lines — WordPress plugins under our own brand (Strain Sync, Deep eCommerce Insights, AI Data Remover, Store Hours, Rewards Engine, and more), webapps like CreateQRCodes.net and LeadWarmer, custom dev work, and a marketing studio (Dog Bite Media) that handles the brand side.

We answer every email. We ship real changelogs. We don't run quarterly roadmaps because we'd rather just ship the next thing. If that sounds like the shop you want on your project — say hi.

your project is weird?

good. talk to us.

we'll tell you in the first email if we're the right shop. if we're not, we'll point you to someone who is.
